Off to the Redwoods

We took off for a few days in the RV going to see the Redwoods and then the Golden Gate bridge as requested by Arlo and jack. This year Kelly and Bixby came with us.

First stop, Castorville, the artichoke capital of the world.

And of course, artichokes for dinner

The boys were in charge of the fire

The fire was enjoyed

Songs were sung

And bedtime stories read

Along with some fooling around

Jack enjoyed balancing on a rock. He had been studying the Olympic swimmers and gymnasts

Bixby enjoyed getting water from the faucet to make Nana a cup of tea.

                                               Jack studied the map for the next adventure

Then off to see those magnificent Redwoods.

 

Then off to ride the steam train up Bear mountain

Bixby fell asleep while the conductor checked our tickets

The boys enjoyed climbing on the Redwood log.

                                                             And posing with the train

Bix slept on

Then woke for a picture with Nana
