The last weekend together

We spent the last weekend with all 3 grandsons together mainly hanging out at the beach.

 

The boys enjoyed petting Lexie

 

 

And playing in the garden

 

Reading the Sunday cartoons

 

 

 

 And cooking breakfast

 

 

Fresh squeezed orange juice

 

One more hike into the forest to climb trees

 

One more lesson in fire lighting from Grandad

 

Lexie begins to accept the strokes

 

 

                                           A last time in the hot tub

 

And Jacks last chance to teach Bixby how to play chess

 

before heading back to Ohio

 

 

 

The Golden Gate Bridge

I'm a Little Teapot.......

After staying 2 nights at Henry Cowell State Park in the redwoods we headed north towards the Golden Gate Bridge. Arlo is a "fact guy" and this sight has been on his list for a while. Unfortunately we got stuck in a traffic jam and what was supposed to be an hour trip turned into 2 hours. We entertained our selves by playing with blown up latex gloves !!!

                                                    Which appeared shrouded in fog !!!

 

 

 

So we decided to walk on the bridge

 

and it magically cleared....a little

 

Burritos for dinner then off for a walk around Castanoa campground at Pescadero

Walking sticks, tree climbing

 

and chasing games in the dunes

 

 

Our evenings entertainment was microwaving marshmallows

 

 

and before you know it everyone is making silly faces.

 

A good time was had by all

 

 

 

We headed for home the next morning

 

Arlo wishing for some quiet reading time.

Bixby still clinging to his glove

 

And Kelly ready for a nap
