The first Lupines

This week we noticed the first lupines on the bluffs this season. One of my favorite children's books is "Miss Rumphius " which it is about a teacher who retires to live at the coast. She continues her passion to make the world a more beautiful place by strewing lupine seeds along the bluffs. My friend and co-teacher Shannon gave me the book last year.  I have always felt like a "Miss Rumphius" and am glad to see these flowers grow wild here.
