Discovering more at Santa Margarita Lake.

We try and go to Santa Margarita Lake whenever we have a few free days, There are so many nooks and crannies to explore and this time we discovered a part we had not been to before. It had wonderful rocks and a dry river bed with pools. We climbed a little into the canyon. These places can only be accessed by kayak. We watched a bald eagle on a nearby log. Later, back at our site he/she soared over us, looking down...in recognition???

Kayaking Morro Bay

Friends and I enjoyed a few hours kayaking at Morro Bay on Saturday. Mike was playing tennis so I rented a single. The weather was fabulous, the birds nice, especially the white pelicans, the otters were playful and the company was wonderful as usual,

 First, the morning began with quail on our fence.
