Nature Building at Santa Lucia school and a rainy clean-up day.

This year I have the pleasure of going to Bixbys school twice a month to help them develop their outdoor classroom program. Santa Lucia school in Templeton has a wonderful outside space. With the addition of logs, driftwood and lashing material we created a nature building area.

Sorting rocks ...many ways to classify
color, shape, size, texture

 Balencing
 and designing

"I can make a bird feeder out of this pinecone"

 Painting and sketching outside
a different perspective from a tree
 We had no brown paint...
so these guys knew how to make some

 Lashing to secure the structure
cooperating, communicating and working together

How to move this heavy log.
The gal in the background says
"I know how. I live on a ranch"
 And she did !!!!

"Now exactly where do you want it?"

Digging...finding worms

And now for something different.....
Today Janet, Mike and I picked up the trash
on our UU section of Hwy 46 ...
In the rain.....Loved it !!!
