A Ten Mile Hike

Wednesday we hiked the Sand Spit from Montano De Oro to Morro Bay. Its about 10 miles on sand. It was a beautiful sunny warm day, perfect for cooling off our toes in the ocean.

This is a boat that capsized a few weeks ago 

and has now washed to shore

 Our destination, Morro rock looks closer than it is

 We reach the breakwater jetty and lunched

 Then walked over the dunes to the town side of the bay

The dips were full of shells

 Then began the walk back

 Jelly fish were numerous

 

 At last, the steep path up the dunes

back to the parking lot
