We got close to the turkeys across the street
Jack enjoyed his frog and found a new place to put his glasses at night.

After attending a great gem show in town we excavated our own gems

The next day we enjoyed building a fort at the beach. Lots of driftwood this year.
More deer and turkeys

And off to Bixbys to play and feed his chickens

Jack wanted to explore the beach lagoon where we found frogs two years ago.
Only a few tadpoles but fun to try and catch.
It was warm enough to play at the waters edge.

Saturday was discovery day at San Simeon.
We tested the water for temperature and salinity and
looked at a water sample under the microscope.
Jack helped to drag out a huge whale bone from under the center.
Then we headed down to the beach to contribute to a weaving.
Bixby came to stay overnight.
