A hike and a day with dad

Mike and I enjoyed nice day out today

 with my dad. Kelly and Bixby joined us.

We enjoyed cookies at the park

Mike and I hiked this week

We explored a trail that led to

where the Salinas river flows into

Santa Margarita Lake.

We didnt have time to go the

 whole way to the lake but his fit bit was excited 

that we went 5 miles. 

Big cat prints? There were bones here also.

We have boated to this spot on the lake.

A good day out

A few days at Santa Margarita with friends

We camped at Santa Margarita Lake with Randy and Mary and Helena, a student from Denmark.
Steve and Marsha joined us for a few hours.

Helena taught us some card tricks

and some new games. 

It was chilly at night so we enjoyed time in the RV.

Randy and Mike observed the game action

and ate Klondike ice cream bars and cookies 

Helena ate both together. !!

The next day the birds soared 

 The western blue bird serenaded us

 And the coots/mud hens? searched for goodies

 Randy and Marys campsite on the hill

 Ready to toast

Then off to hike the Grey Pines trail 

The ladies continue to Eagle Peak for the view 

 The next morning we rented a pontoon boat

and cruised the lake

A good trip with good company

and a lovely lake to share

We will be back.
