A visit from Cameron and Tina

Our son Cameron and his lady friend Tina spent this last week with us here in Cambria.
The elephant seals, hearst castle zebras and walking the pier and beach at San Simeon were on the list for the first day.
We had a good family day at Kelly's for Easter Sunday, sitting in their garden and chatting.

Then off up the coast to enjoy the views and redwood grove along the Naciemiento Furgeson road.
After going through Fort Hunter Legget we explore the Mission San Antonio.

We spent time at the beach.

Kelly and Bixby visited in our garden

And we spent time on the bluffs

We drove up to San Simeon and were lucky enough to see the zebras.

                                                      And explored our local tidepools

A beautiful sunset

                                                              Those cute sea otters

We went Kayaking at Morro Bay
There were many seals and lazy sea otters

And we had to carry our 20 foot wooden kayak
across the main road.
Cameron and Mike built this boat together
a few years ago.

A Good Hike Today

A great day for a hike today

We began on the reservoir trail out of San Luis Obispo
but soon found the trail too muddy due to all the recent rain.

So we headed north to the road to Pozo
and hiked the Rinconada trail instead

The wild flowers were fabulous including these chocolate lilies
blue dicks, miners lettuce and shooting stars.
There were also distant fields of yellow, orange and blue,

Sadie made it on her short Corgy legs

At the top we found a wonderful place for a snack
And at the end, riding home with one extra person in the back !!!
