January and February brings......

A hike on the Washburn trail with Kathy,
Michelle and Eden and Lily

Inches of rain make our dry river bed wet

And street drains to be cleared

Tine on the deck between storms
The elephant seals are birthing on the beach.

The waves from the pier at San Simeon cove

Lots of driftwood washes up on Moonstone Beach

and Santa Rosa creek flows into the sea

A weekend camping at Santa Margarita Lake
culminating in a race in the mud

3 generations running
Bixby (13), Kelly and Nana

Cozy in the RV...
playing music and games

Restringing the uke

Bixby is exploring being a teenager
Into music and expressive hair

We watch the lake rise
It flooded right after we left.

January 18th brings a new baby for Kristen and Alex
Welcome Sophia Mae Farmer

A new baby causes us to look at old photos.
This baby is new daddy Alex standing  on his dads lap
my brother Bill who is now a grandad.
 The family continues to expand

A new UU Board...a bunch of leaders
working together to improve life

A late blooming amaryllis

A walk and lunch with Chris and Lucy

The January "atmospheric Bomb"
flooded where our RV is stored in Morro Bay.
We spent a week cleaning the mud out of the storage bays
but we are lucky that it didn't go inside.

Enjoying a fun UU game and pizza night.

Camellias blooming in the garden

A lovely visit with my friend Anita.

Cameron, Tina and their family
are enjoying their new house.,
especially the extra room and the fireplaces

And we spend a weekend building
a fence with Kelly and Bixby.

Bixby became very proficient at putting in the screws
We love doing family projects together
and are looking forward to helping
at Cameron and Tina's this summer.

Kelly will enjoy the
new space outside her side door.

Mike and I enjoy the drive back to Cambria.
Hwy 46  is at its greenest.
