Moms 90th birthday bash

Mom turns 90 tomorrow the 26th of February. She has been thinking its her birthday almost everyday for the last month but we finally had the "real" party last night. She loves a party complete with games and balloons.

 Cards were exchanged

 Music was played...dad on the washtub base

Brian on guitar and Bixby on kazoo

 Kelly on the dance floor.

Dad can even play the base sitting down 

 Dinner was enjoyed...Bixbys special meatloaf

potatoes, peas and carrots.

Linns gluten free Olalaberry pie for dessert 

 An enthusiastic rendition of "Happy Birthday"

Then a few rounds of charades 

  

Sounds like.... 

Bixby is full of good actions 

 Kungfu fighting????or "the Karate Kid"

And riding a horse??? 

 And pictures of the birthday girl 

at 19 years old in her first job

at an architectural firm in Birmingham, England

 And as a newlywed....70 years ago

And...speaking of weddings...

Mike and Sue were married 47 years

 ago on ...February 26th 1972

 My brother Bill on the left, Mikes sister, Sharon

friend Jim and Mikes brother Jake on the right.

  

 the family...my dad, Mikes mom, Mikes Nana,

Mike, Sue, Mikes grandad, Mikes dad and my mom.

And one with my mom and dad....47 years ago. 

Another couple of days at Lake Lopez

Lake Lopez is one of our favorite local getaways for a few days. 

We met some wonderful fungis

 We had the campground to ourselves

and our favorite spot

                                    Even though we have a great kitchen in the motor home

we still enjoy cooking breakfast outside after a morning hike.

We enjoyed a game of horseshoes 

Eating dinner outside by firelight is a treat

 A chance to hone our fire building skills

Back at home in Cambria, a beautiful sunrise

from our deck. This is a great place to be for 

Mike and I and our love for the outdoors

What a joy to be surrounded by the forest, 

the beach and the green hills.
