Happy 4th of July

Happy 4th of July, We enjoyed four days on the Chetco River a few miles from Brookings, Oregon. Warm enough for swimming and good hiking. Now we are camped at Cape Blanco among the Sitka spruce trees. We hiked the windy bluffs to Oregons oldest lighthouse, then down to its driftwood strewn beach. Instead of fireworks we opted for Apple crumble and ice cream snug and cozy in our home away from home.

PS. We saw a whole beach full of butterflies, a herd of elk, and these beautiful tree stumps with gardens on top.

Northern California

The Kate Wolf Music festival was great. Wonderful trees, river, friends - old and new, and great music.I had fun dancing and Mike sang in the open mike. We swam in the river and had great jamming and conversations. Today we slowly drove among the redwoods to a beautiful campground north of Arcata.

Love to everyone,
Sue and Mike

On the road again

Hi friends, We kicked off another summer of travel by meeting Kelly, Brian and little Bixby and other friends at Live Oak Music festival last weekend.Tonight we are in Willits, Northern Calif. waiting to go into the Kate Wolf Music festival tomorrow. We spent a few days helping out Kelly at the beginning of the week because she fell and hurt her arm while packing for Live Oak. It was a great opportunity for us to spend some special time with Bix who is just starting to crawl. I got to take him to his swimming lessons which i enjoyed as much as he did. Below are a few pics of Live Oak and our beautiful campground here at Willits.
